Corona Days may be Cut Short

“But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut off.” (Matt:24:22)

“They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.” (Psalms 112:7)

What we are witnessing today in the form of Corona Virus is a part of the fulfillment of the prophecy of the things that would happen in these last days before the coming of the Lord at the Rapture.

When the disciples were questioning Jesus about the sign of His coming, Jesus said:

“There will be great earth quakes; and in various places, plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:11)

Corona is a plague that is destroying people today as did various  plagues at the time of Moses.

Though it has suddenly and unexpectedly appeared, we as believers in Christ should not be afraid of it as we read in (Proverbs 3:25)

“You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes ...”

We see some incidents in the Bible which brought news of sudden disaster:

David receives bad news that King Saul is coming to his hideout to catch and kill him. When Saul had surrounded David’s hideout, he receives an urgent message that the Philistine army has invaded the land. So Saul went back (1st Samuel 23:15-29). David’s life was spared.

King Hezekiah in the midst of his days, at the age of thirty-nine, received sudden and shocking news from prophet Isaiah that he was going to die. Under the old covenant, length of days was expressly promised to the righteous (Proverbs 3:2; Proverbs 9:11; Proverbs 10:27, etc.). Hezekiah's self-assertion is thus a sort of laying hold of God's promises.

Moreover in Hezekiah's case there was a yet further reason for grief. Hezekiah had as yet no male offspring. If he died now, his house would be cut off, he would be without descendants - a sore grief to every Hebrew.

God hears Hezekiah’s prayer and answers through Isaiah saying, “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold I will heal you…I will add 15 years to your life…” (2nd Kings 20:1-7)

Another incident of hearing sudden disaster message is seen in the family of Jairus. Jairus was taking Jesus to his house to pray for his daughter who was at the point of death.

But on the way he received the shocking news from the people who came from his house that his daughter has died. They also suggested that he should not trouble the teacher anymore.

But Jesus said, “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe.” Having said that, Jesus continued to walk with Jairus to his home and prayed for his daughter and she came back to life. (Mark 5:35-42)

What a great Saviour we have! He did not desert Jairus half the way after they heard the bad news. Jesus not only gave him the courage but continued to walk with him and performed the miracle for Jairus.

So, please do not be disturbed about any disastrous situation, Jesus will perform the miracle.

If you are a believer in Christ and if you live a holy and a totally dedicated life before God, be assured that no pestilence (Corona virus) shall ever destroy your life. Jesus holds your life and will take all of us to be with Him on the clouds at the Rapture. So, Cheer up and keep praising and worshipping the Lord all the time and be ready for His coming at any moment from now. Maranatha!
